The recipe side of savory balance.
Why this works
4.5 oz tomato gives the drink body and shape.
0.125 oz Worcestershire adds depth without mud.
Horseradish provides the bite.
Celery salt and black pepper tighten the finish.
Rolling keeps the texture dense instead of foamy.
Ingredients
2 oz Belvedere vodka
4.5 oz Sacramento tomato juice
0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
0.125 oz Worcestershire sauce
3 dashes Tabasco
0.5 tsp prepared horseradish
1 pinch celery salt
2 grinds black pepper
Celery stalk
Lemon wedge
Fresh ice
Method
Chill a tall glass thoroughly.
Fill a shaker tin or mixing tin with ice.
Add the vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire, Tabasco, horseradish, celery salt, and black pepper.
Roll the drink between two tins 4 to 6 times until fully integrated and cold. Do not hard shake.
Taste after rolling and adjust only if needed with a tiny pinch more celery salt or 1 more dash of Tabasco.
Fill the chilled glass with fresh ice.
Strain or pour the rolled drink over the fresh ice.
Garnish with 1 celery stalk and 1 lemon wedge.

Notes
Use prepared horseradish, not creamy horseradish sauce.
Keep the garnish minimal. Do not turn it into a skewer platter.
Do not add smoked paprika to the core build.
Do not add extra salt before tasting.
Keep the lemon at 0.5 oz. More than that starts to thin and brighten the drink too much.
